Caiman Takes 3 arrows and Jaguar/Puma take as many as 5, then runs away.

Me too I chase him when he runs away, this time I just use the quick swap number to grab spear and end kill

Hmm, so throwing spears even at level 1 is better than bows at level 100 currently.

Although oddly, Pumas and Jags die in 1 spear throw and the Caiman seems to take around 3. Wonder why the cats take more arrows but less spears (than the Caiman).

agree the bamboo spears are the best in my opinion always carry a few. They kill the 4 legs quicker than any arrow spear fishing etc.
The bamboo spear is better than the stone or obsidan spear as well

The last Caiman took 3 spear hits and Puma takes 1. That is lobsided. You'ld think that the Caiman is basicly amoured and goes down w/ 3 arrows...

No its not. Throw damage is same for all spears, but hit damage of bamboo spear is lower than obsidian/stone spear. Tested on natives.

That's possible. My first one was looking to me from about 7 meters away and I had a spear im my hand and aimed on the head. We thought it is going low for a jump, but it was dead with a single throwing spear. But the second cougar teached me, how dangerous they realy are ...
Since this I try to aim at the head before it is running to me. It always needs some seconds to plan the attack and thats your chance.

From my experience, I've never killed a cat with a single arrow yet. But all caimens died with the first one to the face which actually is kinda weird imo.

Spear throw to the face has killed all cats in one hit for me.

I've been using the tribal bow and spear which may be stronger than other types.

the cayman u can hit the head, take only one arrow.
the jaguar never tried with arrows, but one spear in the head kill it.
if u are wearing armadillo armor the jaguar cause u no harm.
