fishing rod

so im looking around the anaconda island, and i cant seem to find the fishing rod nor machette for the life of me...

The fishing rod is leaning against the tree just behind to the right of the campfire under the tent. There is a blue plastic bin in front of it.
It must be loaded into a free space on your backpack to register.
The machete is now sticking out of a cut bamboo tree between the shelters look to the rear between the shelters. There is like 2 on the right and 2 on the left go between them.
Are you seeing all these shelters? There was a bug with this when using old saves?
If you could confirm your seeing all the buildings please.

I see all the buildings, and i did restart my game, as i though what the hell why not xD

Because youve been so helpfull, maybe you know this aswell. Do u happen to know if the caiman are only in the newer area, or can you find them in diffrent places aswell? Like the fishing village??

They're in the original area too. There's a couple caiman on the river shore to the west of the fishing village, where that muddy mangrove is. There's a particularly big one on the sand bar there.

Caiman were added to Green Hell when we received the Water Update.
However if you were playing on easy mode after this update you and I would now be in the Level Known as "A Walk in the Park"
So no tribes no predators no sanety issues. Only snakes spiders scorpians -water dangers. Piranah stingray etc.

Which level you were playing before the water update you will be in that level now.
If you were in normal then your now playing Welcome to Green Hell.
That is also easy.
But you will incounter the occasional tribesman and predator including pantha / leapard /Caiman etc. On all of the green hell map.
They cannot chase you across the bridge that I know of. But they live in both maps old and new.
There is a rattlesnake that spawns near the bamboo bridge. Old map side.
I live at the fishing docks as my maincamp and have not seen any as I'm playing the walk in the park :)

you should be able to create one auto matically the hardestthing to find is a braziallian nut
the recipie calls for long stick or long bamboo, rope , hook , and brazillian nut.....
you get hooks by harvesting bones to get bone needle and craft the needle into a hook
or craft fishbone into a hook then u can use things like larva and maggots as bait each yeild different odds on fish type / also locations
