River pass

So basically i had my base near fishing dock, where there is a river nearby. On the opposite shore there is a bamboo forest from where i could get any bamboo for my smokers and water filters. Now, it's just impossible to get the long bamboo sticks and bamboo log from there. Why is that? I am sure there was some kind of passage on the other side. Now is gone and i am basically banned to do anything because almost everything needs a freaking bamboo sticks to be crafted. This is frustrating. Anyone know a way how to transport logs and sticks across the water? Some kind of raft would be good to add in this game. Small one, which can help get those supplies on the other side.

you have to go up stream, and you'll find some rocks and tree logs that leads you to the other side, in the proximity of the waterfall

ditto. It would be awesome to build a raft , there is a raft built in the Raft challenge.
Why not use that.

I found one area further up the river where you can still build a bridge using the framework.

It makes me wonder, is there anything you actually find/interact with at the bottom of riverbeds? Because being able to dive is kinda pointless if you can't spearfish and when there's nothing down there.

Not at the moment, tried to retrieve fallen long sticks under water useless idea. No there is no purpose to swimming really. The guy doesnt even get clean.
Maybe Creepy Jaw has plans for a raft? There is one in the Build a Raft Challenge.

You can pick up your spear while swimming, only great when throwing spears at fish

That's a shame. Hopefully hopefully hopefully the devs at least add some functionality and point to diving. Fishing and caimans are a real nice addition but there's really no point to diving as it is.

There is actually a shallow path just near the fishing dock. Just a few feet downstream. I f you move from rock to rock, you can carry anything across the river to and from the bamboo forest.

Its been restored and the water has a shallow section again near the large Rock boulder in the center just up from the dock building.
