Do Black Caiman differ in size?

I think that Black Caiman are supposed come in one size but I found one that is huge. He is on the Toucan Island. If someone else could check it out? Thx.

If you're playing on "walk in the park" difficulty, there are no caiman at all in the game. If you're playing on one of the other difficulty levels, give it some time. One will show up in the new lake.

On the coast west of the fish camp.. I find Caiman in just about all big water spots, good luck.

I've come across two caiman spawns so far. Both in the new area.

The first caiman is viewable from Anaconda Camp. If you're standing on the edge of the island next to the head of the ananconda, facing north east, there is a caiman that walks the bank at the bend where the small tributary meets the lagoon. It walks a bit up the tributary, but then then turns back around to go along the bank of the lagoon that Anaconda Camp's island is in. There is a ridge above the bank if you want to get a safe look at it.

To reach the second caiman, from the head of the anaconda, head southwest across Anaconda Camp/Island until you're at the opposite side. Once on the opposite shore, you should see some rocks/shallow water leading to a small island with a V shaped tree, a choppable tree and a small mangrove tree on it. Cross over to that island, then there will be rocks on the otherside that will lead you back onto the mainland into a muddy area. The second caimain was in that muddy area; it caught me by surprise when I was doing a quick scouting trip so I can't be 100% precise where it will be.

I've not spent any time back in the original area so I'm interested to check some of the larger bodies of water for new wildlife.

I'm assuming "Toucan Island" is the Oasis? Any word on if there are caimans up near the Fishing Camp?

Nope, no caimans there. The fishing camp is a perfectly peaceful area and one of my favorit places to settle down.

Where is the Toucan Island? I checked out the Oasis and that pond is reptile free.

Toucan Island is on the west coast west of the fish camp. It's realy just a sand bar 53w X 21s

Roach351, to answer your original question, there is no doubt in my mind that the model of the Black Caiman on Toucan Island is larger than the caiman north west of Anaconda camp.

I went and killed each and dropped a spear next to their bodies. The spear next to the Toucan Island caiman stretched from back leg to front leg. The one near Ananconda camp, the spear stretched from back leg to part way up the neck.

What are the locations of the other caimans you've found?

It's not just the caiman, almost all Animals seem to come in different sizes now. I've seen a baby tapir cpl days ago.. and a rather huge armadillo. I guess the devs added a scale modifier to certain game entities with the 0.3 patch.

That's not that many really. Caiman are literally everywhere along the banks of the Amazon. They're just quite rare in this game (at the moment).

I was wrong on my count of the Black Caiman 4 on the west coast and 3 in the new area.

I came into both localisation but i see nothing.
However, when i came on the first localisation, i heard a crocodile roar but i don't know if the caïman made this sound in game. I have stopped and look all around me but i see nothing.
