I've created a improved translation patch!
I played this game recently and I quite enjoyed it, but frankly, the official English translation leaves much to be desired. I've taken it upon myself to revise / retranslate the entire game to fix grammatical mistakes and make the dialogue more natural sounding. Here is the results of my efforts.

https://mega.nz/#!arx20SpD!P0PNz5sG9qnMeANaIJQEc3IcBKLBh0h1YnuXLZVvO2M

Now in order to apply this, you need to use RPGMaker Trans, which can be found here
https://rpgmakertrans.bitbucket.io/

Just select the game folder and the translation patch and it automatically makes a changed_translation folder. Once you do that, you need to replace the Data folder that's in the changed_translation folder and use it to replace the one that's in the regular steam folder.
You can delete the patch and changed_translation folder after that.

I've put a lot of work into it, so please let me know what you think and if you encounter any typos or other problems.

Maybe. When I tested it, sometimes the old dialogue carried over a bit on an old save. Like in the very beginning of the game.

I actually figured it out. I have never used the translation tool before and didn't pay attention to the error I had. Fixed it and it's working great!

Thank you. I wasn't aware there was an official update in the works but I hope this will be fine too until then. I don't know how different their version will be either.

Did you make sure to replace the Data folder in the changed folder with the one that was in changed_translated?

Here are step by step instructions that would help even my past self to correctly apply this patch:

a) Download rpgmaker trans.
b) download the changed_patch
c) extract both
d) run rpgmakertrans.exe
e) for the game location, point it to the Game.exe in the Changed folder in steamapps/common
f) for the patch location, point it to the RPGMKTRANSPATCH file in the changed_patch folder that you extracted
g) ignore the translation location setting as well as all the patch option checkboxes.
h) Click "Go!" and let it run. The "error" is that it has unpacked your game.exe.
i) in the steamapps/common folder there will now be a Changed_translated folder. copy and paste and replace the data folder therein to the original Changed folder.
j) the improved translation patch should now be in effect.

Thanks a lot for this Dextrose, this should make my second run (normal mode) a lot more tolerable.
thanks. this helped exponentially

I'm not sure if this is just on my end, but there were quite a few lines that went past the border of the screen. Nevertheless, this is a DRAMATIC improvement and I am very grateful for it. Thank you.

Apparently, that happens if your computer has a Chinese font pack installed. Mine didn't so I formatted it based on what I saw.

Thanks for making this! Any plans to fix the font pack thing?

Might I suggest keeping the dialogue from characters with bad communication skills (like Puro) intentionally engrish to play into them not knowing how to speak well?

Hey.... That is a creative idea....

Because Puro tries to speak and learns English, he struggles to talk to the Human....

I like it!
