Vitality caps at 20 and attack power can go up to like 14 in a normal playthrough or something, might be more. But with the right tool you can max out attack power to 99... Or you just play several ng+ on the same character
To defeat daemon of Hatred, you really have to be at its side, literally face to face so to speak. Confetti and Ako sugar will definitely help. Always stay close at its feet. You can parry its right leg stomp and move in a circle around it in anticlockwise. And be prepare to run away when it jumps up in the air as it's going to do a big stomp with fire explosion. But pay attention to the green sign showing once after it lands, grapples in and put in a hit or two.
Items that help this fight are confetti, Ako sugars, and most importantly, the Malcontent (finger whistle). Malcontent can totally stun DoH, giving you enough time to put in 5 to 7 hits depending how fast you react. You can only use Malcontent 3 times. After that, it will not have any effect on DoH at all. So, remember that and plan your attack accordingly. The general rule is to use malcontent on DoH at the 3rd stage, i.e. when it is on its last live because during this stage, DoH's attack will be the most powerful ones. But using the Malcontent at this stage will totally stop it from executing those powerful fire attacks.
Similar to other bosses, once its health is by one third, 50% and 75%, it will be stunned at these level.
Lastly, you really have to know its attacks so you can avoid being hits, like its homing firing balls attack - just run in a large circle. This will avoid the fire balls though homing in at you but will always miss you. The best way is to run in large circle but gradually reducing the size of the circle so eventually you can get close to DoH
So I’m short of couple of minibosses ha. Wish I knew which ones. The world is vast. I was aiming to naturally max out without the mask on ng.
Well, since you've fought the hardest and worst boss, it will only go up from here! Well, duel apes ain't that much better but at least half of it is headless ape so that's something. Personally I beat demon of hatred by using a bloodborne cleric beast strat....STICK TO THAT BOOTY!!! I always tried to circle around him so I didn't face him directly. Actually worked pretty well I gotta say.
After I beat DoH, the last boss was like a vacation. I beat them with only 5 tries. Come at me with swords and spears. Hacking away at huge demon's hairy ballsack and chasing bulls like a lunatic is not for me.
Honestly Demon of Hatred is just fan service to kuckolds of Dark Souls who like sitting on a boss for hours to find oh I just stand here in this box next to his leg and he can't hit me... yeah, that's not a challenge, it's a test of endurance.
But you can just beat him by circling his leg then using the umbrella when he does his aerial attack. I had him really close but honestly cannot be bothered so just went to beat the game instead.
