Not really.

Yeah not exactly. Sekiro has a much more limited arsenal, and much more focus on skill, reaction, and memorization.

Well, it's different. It's hard to say that it's objectively superior across the board- different people appreciate different qualities, and artistic merit comes in many forms. I do agree that it's a far more polished product than Elden Ring.

No this game basically requires you to master the mechanics presented at the time, unlike ER.

The game features very minor character power progression and even if you unlock something you still need to utilise it. You are able to raise your attack power to up to 99 once you have the 3 fragments of the mask (which you will not have until the end to the game as the vendors that sell the pieces are in later zones and even then requires a lot of currency which you won't have enough on your first playthrough.)

The game feels harder than elden ring at some point, but with that said the gameplay is far more responsive and fast paced. No stamina bar for starter so you can just smash attacks and run. Parrying will raise your stagger bar.
