Another good spot (which requires a bit more practice to perform) is to farm ministry soldiers in the area where you originally fought the first ogre.

If you continue up through the door there is a lot more XP to be had in the same run, but you need to do extra stuff kill the mini boss in the area to make it effective.
As soon as you pass through the door you'll see. 😁
I usually play the game for fun and hit up farming spots to reach XP milestones or farm consumables before starting a new playthrough.
By NG+3 the end game farm or mibu villagers farming should give you enough to unlock all skills fairly quickly.
You can blitz to mibu very quickly from ashina castle if you know where to go. That path will bypass a boss and save some time if you're rushing to end game. A number bosses and mini bosses are skippable if you know what to do which will get you to end game faster.
The end game outskirts run is far more effective for my playstyle.
