You can't get the worst ending in the game, which has its own unique bosses. You will have to start from NG+ or New Game. You can get the ending half-way through the game.
Nope, you won't be put to NG+ if you don't want it. After the credits you can choos if going to NG+ or staying in the current NG.
You can't get all the endings with the same file, though. The good news is that NG+ (and the successive NG) are much easier than the first run, because you will have the Vitality and Strength increased from the games before AND you'll have also the knowledge of the attacks of enemies faced. Trust me, my first run took me about 50 hours, then the 3 runs I did right after took about 40 hours in total. Don't be afraid of NG+, they're simpler than the first run (obviously, if you're playing with Kuro's charm and without the bell demon)
Oh, you are right. I totally forgot about that. I haven't played this in a year or so.
But still, if he wants to get multiple endings at the same time/achievements, he has to backup his save file before choosing the ending he wants. NG+ isn't much harder if you have almost all tools/14 Attack Power by the end. But i know well enough that some people don't care about replaying the game, even if you can choose which path to go first.
Exactly, luckily it's not very difficult overwrite save files. And it's sad that people don't want to try NG+, because once you've learn the mechanics it's much more fun
