Tips for Corrupted Monk Illusion?

Since I am unable to join Steam group chat, I decided to ask here, also because as more patches come out, what used to be good strategies no longer work.

Firecrackers and ashes provide so little advantage that they are not worth to be used in my opinion. Lazulite axe is not available yet in the game and I have mortal blade.

As you know, this is one of the bosses that cannot be beaten by depleting its posture.

My problem is that while I can deflect most of the attacks, some get through and as a result I end up drinking all nine energy drinks with the boss having lost up to 20 % of its hit points.

For reference, hardest boss for me was Genichiro Ashina, because it was three bosses in a single go without a save in between. I beat guardian ape and its headless version in first attempt without reading about their weaknesses and other tips. The woman mini boss before Corrupted monk was also really easy and took me only a few attempts.

Is there anything special I could do to beat Corrupted monk or is the only viable option to avoid getting damage as good as I can?

If you sprint straight up to the Monk at the start of the fight and then use firecrackers followed with Mortal Draw it does a considerable amount of damage. Spam this until you're out of emblems, one out you should have done enough damage for the Monk's posture to not recover so quickly, then you can play the fight as normal.

Alternatively if you sneak around the left side of the area and behind the Monk you can use some Snap Seeds to deal damage to the Monk before the fight starts which will also help in the Monk's posture not recovering as quick.

Thanks! Using Mortal Draw was really good advice. I almost beat the boss as soon as I tried that. Only one more hit and it would have been done.

Well..... there is a way to stealth kill the boss...
1. Before the boss appears sneak around hugging the left wall of the arena. That will make the boss appear without noticing you.
2. Sneak behind the boss and use contact medicine. That will inflict a weak poison on you which allows you to use mist raven at will.
3. Use the mist raven to launch yourself into the air and do a plunging deathblow on the boss, killing it instantly.

However if you intend to fight the boss normally, the most important recommendation I can give you is to bring snap seeds. You can use it 3 times to stun and damage the boss.

dont forget to hit 2-3 between each throw and she will die very quickly

All of these tips just bring back flashbacks of grinding the Monk's HP into the ground through sheer attrition.

Count her twirls, she does 5. So you should be running around the arena, after her 4th, run towards her and use the Mortal Blade to strike twice. Firecrackers are an excellent option for her.

Divine confetti is a must, but that goes without saying.
