for the sake of Ashina Ishin is busted. EDIT: Finally beat him
been playing through this mod, had a blast all game, and now i think i've actually been attempting the final boss over 100 times. The modded move sets are just too cracked and im devolving a crazed maniac of pure anger and hatred. have to vent somewhere

If you think that's hard, try Long May The Shadows Reflect. There's also JiDao and Way of Waterflow which I much more prefer

Yup, I stopped for that reason, it just feels too much that i'm spamming deflect because i have no clue what's going on.
I'm in sorta the same boat; fighting and mastering modded Isshins has been the peak of the game for me. I would also recommend Sekiro: Resurrection Isshin and JiDao's Isshin.

Resurrection Isshin is in my opinion the best made from a technical perspective and comes with its own mechanics (if you midair deflect his gun while in the air, it does damage and you can grapple, how cool is that?), though I still prefer JiDao as its a lot more intense; if you want a challenge I would try that, if you can stomach the broken mikiri counter.
I wouldn't recommend LMTSR, though, as the modder's approach to difficulty seems to be just making his bosses spam projectiles and status effects.

If you can I would stick with For the Sake of Ashina's Isshin, its probably the best of the mods I listed in terms pure fun, as it comes with a lot of hard-hitting and cinematic attacks.

I've never heard of Way of Waterflow, where might I find that? Google yields nothing.

It's a new one and whacky as hell. Not sure if Steam lets you share Drive link though, I could send you. There're also some youtubers playing it as well
