Intro cutscene no longer plays?
I had an issue with sound in relation to the pre-rendered cinematic at the beginning so I tried some things with sound settings to try to resolve it. When I started new game the sound was working fine but the intro cinematic was skipped entirely even when I selected new game. Now I can't seem to get the intro cutscene to ever play no matter how many times I select new game despite never having really seen it. How do I get the game to play the intro cutscene?

I re-enabled a sound device and the cutscene came back, but there was still no sound. So the intro cutscene literally functions off of your primary audio device in windows??? However, I still can't get the sound to play through my headphones device. This is some of the strangest programming I've ever encountered

For anyone else who might have trouble with this, you can get the intro cutscene to work by using the main sound device on your computer, but I haven't found a workaround to making the intro cutscene work with any other sound device, like a separate DAC. The cutscene will even disappear if you have the wrong sound device plugged in, I've never seen a problem like this before

What DAC are you using?

Sorry made a mistake I don't mean that the cutscene disappears if you plug the wrong device in I mean that if you try to disable the primary device on your motherboard to try to force it to use another device the cut-scene will be skipped entirely. It's a very unique problem

I found an even more effective solution. If you play the game through your speakers and normal sound board, the cutscene will play like normal. You can then turn off your speakers and the cutscene will continue to play with whatever other audio device you have plugged in, including a DAC. I was able to seamlessly switch from the speakers to my dac plugged heaphones and have everything work normally this way, you can even switch back to speakers by turning it on whenever.

That was a lot of work for just a 3 minute video, but its always nice to have every part of the product you paid for work. Hopefully this helps anyone else who encounters this problem
