Can I directly fight 3rd phase genichiro ashin from the fight replay thingy

honestly the lightning redirection stuff is probably one of the coolest things ive seen in any game but sadly the 3rd phase just ends too soon

I'm actually at a point where I can do the first two phases kinda well but I'd still like it if there was any way to directly skip to the later part

Sidenote, I just unlocked the mortal blade and this thing just eats through spirit emblems, did not realise it was 3 per slice not per cast. Is it even good? so far those slashes didnt even feel that special as to warrant the high cost

You will get a Reflection of Strength to fight against Genichiro, Way of Tomoe later in the game. To avoid any potential spoilers of when it happen, I won't say it, but you will get the chance. Sadly, it will still be a single healthbar fight.

For the Combat Art, Mortal Draw is actually good, if you use it the intended way, which is by boosting your damage with an Ako or Yashariku Sugar. There is a better version you can learn down the line which is Empowered Mortal Draw, which does more damage and posture damage, useful for breaking an boss's posture quickly with the right setup or opening you get to use it.

When you beat the game once, depending on the Ending, you also unlock a specific boss Gauntlet which nets you a neat reward at the end which is the Sakura Dance Combat Art, designed literally for Lightning Reversal. The boss Gauntlet is a back to back fight with Gyoubu Oniwa, Lady Butterfly, and lastly Inner Genichiro, this last one being a stronger version of Genichiro, Way of Tomoe with new attack patterns and new attacks overall, and with more health.

You won't unlock the Gauntlets until the first game clear, so you won't get Sakura Dance until then.

I cant get the rythm or feel down at all because I simply cant practice it. Regular fight was less punishing and tbh I kinda lucked out when beating him. Reflection of strength version? Forget about it

yeah the reflection one hit kills me with most attacks, turns out its balanced around having more vitality after collecting the beads, I was still stubborn enough to beat it without leaving so I had to practically reach no hit run kinda stuff for that fight which did feel very satisfying admittedly

not until you've beat him in the final boss fight, before glock saint. and mortal blade is easily the most op thing dmg wise in the game lol, once u get empowered mortal draw even better, but, i recommend doing jumping mortal blade attacks, as it deals the same amount of dmg as an empowered (charged) mortal draw attack.

not that bad tbh, once u learn the lightning reversal its very easy, thats the only learning curve, which you'll def need for final phase of final boss, with lightning reversal, genis last phase is the easiest bc u can just shred his health bar and leave him stunned for free hits on his health bar. when u see the red kanji, (and right when u hear the noise for an unblockable attack) just jump and spam left click or r1, rb if ur using controller to do lightning reversal. the lightning attacks are very animated and easy to tell when thats whats coming, just keep trying, you'll get it down.
