For the Combat Art, Mortal Draw is actually good, if you use it the intended way, which is by boosting your damage with an Ako or Yashariku Sugar. There is a better version you can learn down the line which is Empowered Mortal Draw, which does more damage and posture damage, useful for breaking an boss's posture quickly with the right setup or opening you get to use it.
When you beat the game once, depending on the Ending, you also unlock a specific boss Gauntlet which nets you a neat reward at the end which is the Sakura Dance Combat Art, designed literally for Lightning Reversal. The boss Gauntlet is a back to back fight with Gyoubu Oniwa, Lady Butterfly, and lastly Inner Genichiro, this last one being a stronger version of Genichiro, Way of Tomoe with new attack patterns and new attacks overall, and with more health.
Oh I actually really badly wanted Sakura dance, will I seriously have to beat the game to get it? No way to get it earlier in the first playthrough?
It effing sucks tbh. I am doing the reflection of strength right now and I can pretty much own Genichironin the first two phases but third phase I cant even really practice because he kills me so fast. I cant get the rythm or feel down at all because I simply cant practice it. Regular fight was less punishing and tbh I kinda lucked out when beating him. Reflection of strength version? Forget about it
