I was also hugely disappointed by Elden RIng being Dark Souls 4. Don't know if I even expected them to iterate on Sekiro's combat system for ER, but I expected something that was new in the same way that Sekiro was new for its time.
I agree it would've been amazing had they focused on developing the game with the parry system in mind.
I have since learned to appreciate ER as its own unique experience, but for sure Sekiro set the bar high and it hasn't been met since, neither by From Software, nor any other studio.
But this is an indie game with all the usual shortcomings of such games: weak narration, modest design, visual poverty, low animation's quallity and video staging and so on...
Game got sword system with parry, block. Looks very fun.
Missed sale , but will definitely get it
once I'm done with Sekiro and Sifu.

alot faster compared to Sekiro and offers great challenge, too!
can even be played coop, and character customization is great.
Whatever you do, don't play Thymesia. It's like Sekiro if it was aborted halfway through, but still survived.
