Save won't load?
I just got the Fountainhead Palace cutscene, shortly before that the game went offline due to some server issue. It didn't load, so I restarted the game multiple times including launching Steam in Offline mode without cloud saves.
The game launches just fine but I get stuck on the last 5% of loading.
Any advice? Is it corrupted? The game doesn't say it is but it might be? What do I do?

When you said "...the game went offline due to some server issue...", do you mean your Steam account went offline or an in-game message saying that it could not connect to the server?
You see, if your Steam account went offline, and you shut down the game and then restart the game, then the game will try to sync with cloud save. However, you said that you have launched Steam in offline mode, but if you have started the game with Steam online before setting your Steam account offline, then your cloud save may have been the corrupted version.
Now if it was an in-game message, that will have nothing to do with your Steam account. I know that what I have said so far sounds a bit confusing. Within Sekiro the game, if you go to Option and then go to Network, you can set it to offline. This has nothing to do with your Steam account. This network setting within the game has all to do with those purplish blue blobs lying on the ground all over the place within the game. These blobs are actually recording made by other players, or rather, that is what the Dev. has designed them for. With the purpose to show other players if they are stuck in the game what to do next in that area. However, the Dev. had not put in a proper instruction to show what these blobs were for, it ended up that most of them showing players running around like a headless chicken. Since they are "recordings", be it just sound or worst, videos, they need space to be stored, i.e. some servers somewhere, so if they are full, or whatever fault they have encountered, you will get the connection error. It is best to turn the Network setting offline within the game.

I have a suggestion. Since you have nothing to lose now. I presume that you are PC player. Go to the saved game location and delete one file:

C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Sekiro\nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
where nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn is a 17 digits number

In there, there are three files, delete the one with ".bak" extension.
When you start up Sekiro, there will be an ingame error message warning you that you have not shut down the game properly, bla bla bla. Just click OK to continue. This will create a brand new .bak file.

See if this helps. Good luck.

I'm not sure but my Steam and Discord both appeared online at all times, even when I got the message. It disconnected me from the servers and I kept going to Fountainhead Palace cutscene, then I turned the game off because it couldn't load, I tried using my browser to watch a YT video but my browser did not work. My steam and discord both worked throughought. I have also tried launching the game in an Offline mode but that didn't work either. I'll try your advice with the save file

Also I would like to emphasize that only that save file doesn't work. I dont wanna delete it, every other save works. Are you sure this wont ♥♥♥♥ it up?

Have you verified the integrity of the local game files? This is done within Steam. If there is any file corrupted or missing, it will be replaced.

Such a basic, "restart"-tier advice that I discredited it before even making the post but turns out that actually ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ works
