Are there any mods to turn sekiro in to more of a hack n slash?
The parrying mechanics and animations are great as a rhythm game , just that it's all defense which does gets repetitive even with sub arts and their skills, any mods to make fights with multiple enemies more balanced, increase enemy count and aggressiveness, fixed damage output and enemy level, whatever stuff you see from basic hack n slash games like metal gear rising.

No.

There are mods that change the whole layout of the game/enemies/bosses, but it's still Sekiro just harder. The main point of Sekiro isn't to just deflect and parry attacks. It's also attacking.

There are mods that change the skills/arts to be more flashy, faster and similar to some DMC moves. But it won't change the game to a hack and slash.

Just progress, the enemies will get harder and attack in different ways.

I'm not certain, but look around on the Nexusmods site. If you can't find one, jump on Google and look up WeMod. It's basically a free all-in-one trainer, and considering Sekiro's popularity there's gotta be an entry for it. I usually use it to d*** around after I've exhausted a game's content to squeeze a bit more fun out of them before I finally get bored n drop it for a while, but I'm not one to judge anyone using it seriously. The paid part of it is basically just to save your activated codes for a game and to enable the sliders rather than holding the hotkeys to inch the sliders along, so if you don't care you don't gotta fork out any cash. Don't use it in online games either (like Dark Souls because you'll be soft banned).

While I agree with your sentiment on a personal level, I'm still gonna have to argue that it is an amazing idea for the casuals who would still like to enjoy this GOTY's story, like my old man in his mid-60s.

Sekiro is not 'all defense' though. You need both offence and defence to fill enemy posture quickly. Being active and keeping pressure on is the way to go.

Devil May Cry 5 is far from button mashing. It's a harder game to master than Sekiro by far.

Mastery in DMC5 is about bigger and better combos. Mastery in Sekiro is being able to parry all attacks.

it's just a massive tutorial stage where you mash on helpless enemies who have no counter strategies and mechanics, less about mastery and more about just how much more useless time you can spend on the game, even removed inertia. The last good thing seen from lucifer.
