(Solved) PS5 controller not reading properly
I've been trying to get my PS5 controller to work with Sekiro for hours now (I know it's not an issue with my controller because it works in the Steam UI as well as my other installed games just fine). When I start Sekiro, the game doesn't recognize my controller at all except for this very strange behavior: If I hold the PS button (the logo) on my controller, it let's me move the mouse cursor with the right stick, select with the right bumper (R1), and go back with the left bumper (L1). So it clearly detects my controller to some capacity. Other than that, absolutely NOTHING works with the controller.

I've done just about everything I've seen online; I've tried windowed mode, I've tried downloading DS4, I've tried messing with the "Enable Steam Input" options or whatever, I've tried making sure vJoy is uninstalled (I never had vJoy, so that couldn't be the issue), I tried wired and unwired. It. Just. Won't. Work. But I also haven't seen anyone with this exact issue (where holding the PS button allows some strange and limited input behavior). I'm beyond frustrated right now: Can someone please help me?

After several, several hours, I've finally found the solution. It was because of something called "Hydra Force Sensor" that was apparently being read instead. So I looked up how to uninstall it, and you have to go into your Device Manager, go to "Human Interface Devices", and look at the things that say "HID-compliant game controller". When I went in, there were 2 of them—one of them was for Hydra Force Sensor, and the other was for my PS5 controller. To tell which one it is, just unplug your real controller, and then there will be one left. Right click on the left over one, select Properties, go to the Driver tab, and disable it. I plugged my controller back in and booted up Sekiro again and my controller finally worked.

Also, the thing about holding down the PS button and whatnot was because of the "guide button chord configuration", which is completely irrelevant (I just had no idea what it was).
