Best way to kill the headless'?
I'm running out of divine confetti and I want to finish all headless before the Guardian Ape. Is there any way to farm it?

I think i used to go to the ashina tower and then kill the blue samurai but the drop rate is a little low, i think the demon bell helps with the drop rate but i can't remember for sure

Save them till after you get a dragon scoreboard. Then head to a shop, trust me you cannot miss this item and it'll help with divine confetti

Prosthetic tools deal full damage to them . The lilac umbrella will completely block their vitality and terror damage and if you have the Projected Force skill the attack with the umbrella counts as a confetti hit so you can shred them while being totally safe

Do not kill them. They are badly designed mini bosses and the payoff is lame.
Really not worth the hassle, imho.

Sekiro is one of the best game I played in my life, but the headless are the flawed part of the masterpiece.

But if you want to farm confetti, beat the true monk to get the item that augment stock and a merchant in the outskirt will sell them to you.

Just for the sake of finishing every mini boss

Or use Lazulite sacred flame if you have that upgrade. Headless counts as an apparition

the ring is the one in the cave, it s also where u find your -first headless -
this one give a pretty solid item , u ll like it ( i wont spoil)
another one has a cool item
as soon as u reach the ashina tower u ll be able to farm them as u want to

they r not that hard once u understand their weakness

Err, confetti are only available at vendors after the defeat of the true Corrupt monk who is guarding the entrance to FountainHead district.
In other words, this is for the OP. You don't have to fight the headless until you can buy confetti from vendors. By the way, if you have the malcontent, you can stunt the headless for a good 10 seconds, giving you quite a few free hits during that time. This will, as a result, save you from using more than 2 or 3 confetti when facing headless.
Good luck and have fun :)

Managed to kill 4 out of the 5 headless' easy without locking on him, so I barely needed to farm confetti

I must apologize for my mistake. Yes, you can farm confetti but the drop rate is something like 1 for 60 or 65 kills. But having the Demon Bell plus using a green balloon plus getting the two passive arts from the Senpou text, it can reduce the odd down to 1 in 30 kills as far as I know. The targets are those samurai wearing blue and the one wearing a head band. You can find them starting from the Ashina Antechamber Idol. Just remember one thing, do NOT use your home idol when you finish one round to get back to the Antechamber idol. Always run back and use the Antechamber idol. This way, the effect of the green balloon can last more than one round. But of course, this will be depend on how fast you can cleared all the enemies in one round.
Some actually just kill the first samurai and run back to the Antechamber Idol to reset. This way, the effect of the green balloon can last six resets if I remember correctly. But I never did that as it would be too boring. So, you can decide which method to use.
This farming method is more effect in a NG+ game as by that time, you will have the special ability to create smoke screen after executing an enemy. This will make the farming process much more straight forward. And the effect of the green balloon can last two rounds each time at least.
So, you may have to think of farming the green balloon as well. The only sure farming method at this early stage is by killing the big bloke who is sobbing all the time and walk around in the big area just before you meet Gyoubo, the general on a horse.
Hope this help.

I did this exactly repeatedly and I'm not lying I got 5 confetti in less than 5 minutes, using the green balloon but the drop rate was quite good.

Depending on when your memory of the drop rate is from, might be higher than you remember. They did buff the drop rate a few months after release.
