HARD
This is a rough ordering. Some were tough due to how soon you fight them and your lower resources / skill at the time. The Snake Eyes really messed me up for some reason. Elder Monkey was tough for a regular enemy, so got a boost for laughs. :) I could revise the list a little, but can't be bothered right now.
All bosses range from easy to hard but I only took those that where for me in corners of each. Still very interesting. I think Shirahaggi is easier than shirafuji due the poison pool and the game allowing me to exploit it. It takes 2 hours but i'm willing to wait lol.
Also, yeah, folding screen monkeys are easy compared to most other bosses but it's just the terror monkeys that f me up. Like I hate them so much. I didnt' mind the fight at first but they became a pain during my third playthrough and have stayed that way. Also, had it been my first playthrough I would have put o'rin as one of the hardest, however, I learned during that fight to not be aggressive and let her come to me(or well, I learned that after like 10 tries).
That's one of the cases that I could have revised. Shirafuji is slightly more horrible, yes. xD Due to the lack of the toxic environment. I should have learned their attack patterns after repeated attempts, but got frustrated beyond belief, lol.
Also, I don't know what it is, but I can perfectly parry swordsaint isshin's assault pistol but I can barely parry the sunken valley clan's snipers(except for my third playthrough, Shirahaggi simply could not damage me cause i kept perfect parrying those shots....ah those where the days)
My strategy for that part is to use a Gachiin's sugar or spiritfall and sneak behind the sword guy, then it's a fair fight between you and the Seven Spears guy
Hard would be three way tie between Demon of Hatred, Inner Father, and Inner Isshin. I think the Demon takes it, though.
For minibosses, Easiest is obviously Mist Noble. Aside from him, I think easiest is probably the Centipede, since you just chain deflects.
Hardest is probably O'rin of the Water, or the Headless, if you don't cheese them with Malcontent.
This is so funny man, you and I are completely opposite XD. Honestly, I think inner genichiro is harder than both inner isshin and father, there is just something about his moveset that my brain can't fully register, even if I know which attack he's going to do. Also, O'rin is relatively easy if you parry her chain flurry of attacks, double jump afterwards and use sabimaru to absolutely shredd her. Headless I find easy, but that really only due to me having been able to do the fights hitless.
I will however agree with demon of hatred there, that fight is not fun.
The reason is because of anti air deathblow.
When the player is running towards her, she will usually jump & kick the ball with lightning attack, then just anti air kill in one hit. Only has 1 life bar. So instant death & also gives 1 prayer bead. Even Mist noble has 2 health bar.
So in my 2nd playthrough, I accidently beat her by jumping.
Other easy bosses for me were:
Mist noble
Genichiro Ashina
Armored warrior &
Snake eyes (I died so many times to Snake eyes that I got better)
Hardest bosses for me:
Headless ( I would rather never fight this boss)
Ashina Elite red eyes (I fought this boss first time on no charm & demon bell and this boss instant kills me if I miss a deflect, it's either perfect or death)
True monk ( mainly cause of my potato pc with fps drop)
Sword Saint Isshin (I still haven't figured out when to attack in his 2nd phase, I usually just stand still to deflect, rarely counter attack)
Owl father (another boss that I fought for the first time on no charm, demon bell run, I feel like I wouldn't have that much problem on a normal run)
I would say inner bosses are difficult too but I feel like they were intentional made a bit difficult & it's more like I am lot more used to fighting the normal bosses. So I excluded them.
I just love to see people struggle with headless XD
Didn't expect these two to pop up. Also, I find isshin's first phase to be the hardest for reasons unknown.
I fought him first time on demon bell and did it first try. I was so scared to face him cause i was like "okay, i'll go in, see what he has and then probably try to fight him for real". I beat him, first try on demon bell and was like "WHAT!?!". I had seen so much about how he was the hardest boss in the game so when I beat him, I didn't understand what people were struggling with and now he's my favourite boss in the game(he or inner father). I've also mostly just fought him on demon bell lol
Given that you've already defeated the Guardian Ape at that point, phase 1 should be ok. Phase 2 is just a bit of cheesing with fireckackers to get rid of the second one quickly and then it's pretty much a repeat of phase 1
Well, I never know exactly where the f she lands and when I try to do firecracker, the white ape goes beserk on me so I can't do the firecracker thing. Well...at least not enough to fill Mrs Browns posture bar. So every time I've done that fight....it's been pain. Fortunately, I always do ashina depths before sunken valley, so I never face that fight unless I want to... and why would I want too? I feel like dual apes is a fight that kinda proves that sekiro simply isn't that great when fighting several opponents at the same time, especially if they're large :|
This is my first time ever playing Sekiro and while tough, it was still a fight that I did in maybe 5 or 6 tries, which is significantly less than what it took for the solo ape and Genichiro.
Basically I never stopped running in early phase 2. I focus on the summoned ape but try to keep the headless one within line of sight. Firecrackers on any window, slow and steady did it.
