Shichimen Warrior is an incredible boss
I decided to take this guy on fairly early and with confetti/pacifying agent on my bar...

But I didn't ever bother using either, because it was so much fun weaving back and forth, mid-air deflecting purple horrors, while giving Shichimen a constant beating with my paper sword. Didn't want to confetti because meh

Headless on the other hand... same energy but needs better arenas.

did you manage to beat headless without confetti? it's very annoying getting hp reduced even when you deflect
I did manage to beat shichimen warrior without confetti it's all about learning his moveset cause I thought to learn his moveset before trying with confetti but in the end wanted to try without it but I didn't know you could deflect his purple balls
this game have some nice bosses even tho it my first run just need to get used to them

I think I did once, back in early 2020, beat Headless no confetti, but starting over again I'm not able to do that atm lol. I actually just got done with a session and stopped at him because I'm 90% of the way to knowing the timings, but that 10% is enough to be a fail every time lol

yeah well since it's my first time im ganna just try to beat all bosses and then maybe ng+ without the charm but I don't think ill try to beat headless without confetti since he have this annoying hp reduce when you deflect and I don't care about being deflect master but just beating this bosses, is there any boss do you think that is very hard or you can get used to all of them? I remember this game was my first soullike and made me buy elden ring instead but now I got more used to it

Nioh is easier if you are more adept at character building mechanics in that particular style of game - I played a ton of Diablo and Souls before Nioh so I fell right in love with it. Even with all that experience I'd say it requires the same kind of discipline you need in Sekiro, to be successful.

The bosses can be straight up manipulated all day and night, so it helps to phase in and out of the roles of the fight; most bosses have hyper-armor on their attacks to prevent R1 spam cheese, but, the Combat Arts allow you to break any pattern you find yourself in.

Sure, it could be a slugfest and you could be fully optimized with the best strategies ready to go. But what if you did X or Y instead this time?

Deflect mastery just comes along with experience. Be absolutely sure to reflect on the difficulties you face with each enemy, eat and sleep well, and drink plenty of juice. Not even kidding; you'll struggle if your senses are dulled. The game builds gray matter on levels I can't describe very quickly, here, so, give that some time. You will absolutely improve naturally the less you worry about perfection.

I find the most success memorizing what happens just before the attacks that always catch me. It's always me pressing some button with gusto when the opening just wasn't there at all lol

I don't like to cheese bosses but prefer to fight them the normal way the game intended in elden ring I chose to fight with melee build then I guess in game like nioh I'll prefer to explore and level up and then learn moveset of bosses and combo and beat them the normal way
I think if you beat a boss the normal way once you could beat him a couple of times aswell cause you already got used to everything he have
but I have to admit lady batterfly 2nd phase it annoying cause not only she add those battflies that do damage but she attack at the same time and you need to avoid both while after short time she invite those ghost enemies that make you need to defeat them and build her posture again multiple times, I guess with not giving her a break in 2nd phase you can get her not to summon the ghosts many times

yeah I was talking about headless in particular cause normally I don't have a problem with deflect because even if you not succesful then you block the attack without deflecting which is fine but with headless without confetti he drops your health with block and in order to beat him from what I saw on yt you need like 100% almost deflect on his 2 phases on all his attacks and use all your healing almost
Im more annoyed but not knowing if enemy do spear red attack or the other red attack you need to jump above because Corrupted ghost Monk do both and you need to notice the spear attack very fast I guess it all about learning and trying better and trying to enjoy aswell

The thing is, there's really no normal way with some bosses. Butterfly slaps you in the face about 43,502 times before you realize "I should just let loose and start swinging"

The Drunkards play on your sense of fear and bewilderment at their size and stamina, where you can be easily baited into a fight they actually have a chance of winning, when in reality you can use their movements against them by evading past and striking from behind. That's a fight they have no chance of winning.

Genichiro is one of the most aggressive bosses as he swings about 50 times a minute with a dozen arrows thrown in, give or take. It's an endurance match and you must find a rhythm that works - there are many that work since all he's really doing is smothering you and forcing action. You get to pick from many actions in-between each attack and deflect, knowing at any moment he could jump back and arrow your face. He makes you self-conscious of your own positioning and aggression, while wearing you down mentally and physically.

Isshin... I'm not sure we're ready to get into that
CazadorDeLobo 19. jan. 2023 kl. 2:26
The fact that I can spend hours fighting Ashina elite samurai - blue robe guys in the castle - and discover new AI behavior and therefore NEW GAMEPLAY, is amazing imo.

Isshin and Corrupted Monk are two good bosses to practice on for the red kanji reaction stuff.

didn't meet both isshin yet ( but I know the game bosses )
I have a backsave so I beat genichiro multiple times and got used to him it's mostly knowing to deflect his attacks while building posture
the drunkard was a nightmare because his enemies around him and cause I didn't have many healing stuff
everything you wrote is pretty much the normal way of playing yeah I was talking probably about some cheesy stuff like spam firecrackers that is legit but a pretty cheesy as long as you know the boss moves and everything and fight him that way then it's pretty fine

yeah it's good you enjoy the game in order to replay it, if you see a game as a burden and a chore to finish so you could say you beat it then it is really not fun and a good way of playing
I feel the same way about some elden ring bosses since it was the first soulgame I played I really like the challenge cause normal AAA games don't have that kind of hard bosses

Agree. The Shichimen Warrior is a totally cool boss. I wish to almighty hell there were reflections of strength on the minibosses as well. Its a real shame there isnt.
