Isshin not taking damage from lightning reversal?

Hey, like my 3rd time doing this boss, I swear the past two times lightning reversal worked just fine, but now it'll just like, pass right through him, zero effect. I've landed 2 or 3 in a row and nothing. Is there like some specific debuff I gave myself this run or something, it's not like I couldn't reversal genichiro or the okami warriors.

You were just too far or it's about the landscape since it isn't flat, it's ok, people experience this. If you actually reach his hitbox it will work

Lightning reversal is sort of like an arc at a specific distance in front of you so you can miss him. In the same way he can miss you with it as well.

Yep, happens sometimes (even with a certain combat art - no spoilers in case you care), just be prepared to deflect, never take it for granted.
