No, there is no enemies that are in the form of insects. The centipedes mentioned are there because in Japanese folk lore, centipedes were the cause of resurrection, or undead. So, to kill certain undead enemies, the centipedes within them have to be killed. But you don't get to fight a centipedes. The execution action sequences are all animation sequence, i.e. once you defeat the enemy, in the death animation, you will see Sekiro pulling out the centipedes and killed it, that's all.

The only insects in the game you can avoid and they aren't always visible. But I don't know how strongly you react to them. But to say there are absolutely 0 would be lying, as said above there are centipedes and those only show up from very specific enemies.

there are giant centipedes that freaked me the ♥♥♥♥ out and also a room full of cicadas. they are very brief though and if you know who the centipede dudes are you dont even have to see them. the cicada room is very brief and you will get out of it in less than half a minute. i recommend this game.

well sorry to tell you but its a fact and documented. when you sleep we all eat about 5-10 spiders a year. or crawled around us. proven fact.
