Lady Butterfly's illusions can be destroyed by snap seeds or you can just run around until they disappear.
The snipers can not shoot you during Snake Eyes fight so I don't know what you're talking about there.
And genichiro is just easy :) Although maybe it's because I fought him so many times.
You're not trying to avoid attacks, you're trying to deflect them. Dodge and jump are *mostly* for dangerous attacks or attacks that just deal too much posture damage even when deflected to be worth doing, with some occasional chances to dodge behind enemies and reduce their vitality.
I wish game gave access to more Snap Seeds before Butterfly, without them dealing with the illusions is really tedious and grinds the fight to a halt if you want to stay safe. I guess you can kill the illusions too, but, eh.
Agree on the miniboss runbacks. Alot of them include clearing tons of trash around them, which gets really tedious.
everytime i stay close to him he jumps in the air, then its a rng gamble to see if he uses his sword or shoots out like 5 arrows, if its his sword i can deflect it and get hit in, but if i try to deflect the arrows i lose a lot of stamina and then it normally gets broken with the next couple of attacks.
also doesnt help that i get stunlocked by her attacks and get my entire health bar deleted
And yes, Snake Eyes' grab is bogus. You either want to immediately get back away as much as possible, or you can try to counter it with Mikiri Counter. It's pretty weird to time though, I just backstep outta there whenever she tries it. In general she's one the most obnoxious minibosses in the game, you'd think a ranged fighter wouldn't be so stupidly strong up close as well. Or that she'd have to stop to reload at some point.
If you master deflecting, you can perfect deflect the arrows for minimal posture damage or perfect deflect overhead for minimal posture damage to yourself while deal some to geni
You can lure snake eyes down the slope towards the mist wall. If you approach snake eye steathily from the sculptor idol in the room via the grapple points, you shouldnt aggro anyone and be able to get one stealth backstab on snake eyes.
Move towards the mist wall to not aggro any of the adds and then just keep an eye out for the kanjis- you have to recognize when it's going to be the grab. From there just try to bait her gun shot- you can try dodging it or hiding behind some cover but once she enters the animation she's vulnerable to being hit/can't block. You can try running beside her or to behind as she is aiming- gunshots don't really have as much tracking as the melee.
they come out to quickly for me to see what they are, plus they seem to all have similar animations anyway so i don't think it matters, and half the time they come after geni does a jumping attack so he's surrounded by dust/debris so i cant see what he's doing.
I cant dodge away since thrust attacks track to good, same thing for jumping, if i sit and block i get hit by a sweep or grab.
I dont get how people find this boss easy, it seems so rng dependant, and its not like i can go grind for some more levels, since i need to fight other bosses to get more health, stamina, and damage
For Genichiro, thrust he brings his sword close to his body while aiming at you and the sweep has him holding his sword over his body to the side. Grabs are often very telegraphed and much slower than the other two (with any enemy). I do assume you have Mikiri as that makes your life so much easier, dodging thrust attacks is asking to get slapped, either deflect them or Mikiri them.
If you are really frustrated, I recommend taking a break otherwise you are bashing your head against a wall which is no fun. If you have the patience, not attacking a boss and being defensive to study his attacks/moves is a good way to learn how to deal with him.
OR
you could sidestep the overhead sword attack and don't have to deal with the perilous attack.
I'm pretty sure one of his perilous followups can be interrupted, one after the roll or the jump.
His normal thrust is kind of slow with a long windup were he stands still.
For his grab, he first moves with hand outstretched before actually grabbing.
After the jump he does a thrust on his first health bar. A sweep on the second health bar.
