True, but if you dont rely solely on a direct counter, it can still be challenging. Prosthetics are a viable strat and are fun to use, they may or may not undermine the quality of the boss fights depending on how you use it
Well I aimed at your claim that DoH is harder than Father, I dont think so. Father is fun and very challenging boss due to his speed, versatile moveset, high hp and dmg. He is the first real boss you cant just deflect, spamm firecrackers and chip hp point from time to time. You have to agressivly dodge and look for opportunity to strike.

DoH is way less interesting in that aspect and can be ignored if you use shield.

After 2h I had some doubts but after 3h it became just hard job to gid gud! He took me 5h to kill!
I am interested in where you get those numbers from.

Directly from Steam! If you go to yours achivements in Sekiro, there is button to switch on that you can compare with Global Stats...

Well, everyone has a different experience, for me in my first playthrough the Owl took me 2 times and the Foster Father took me 4, yet the demon took me about 30.

I always find deflecting enemies with swords way easier, I agree Owl is fast and has a diverse moveset (not to mention really fun to fight against), but his moves are very telegraphic and are very easy to deflect for me. He also has a lot of openings, having a lot of heavy attacks with slow recovery time, making it quite easy to get vitality damage in if you know how to dodge. You don't need prosthetics, using ichimonji or mortal draw in the said openings is already more than enough.

For DoH, the damage is a bit higher, moveset diversity is about the same. In addition to my incompetence in delfecting swordless enemies, I find him a bit more aggressive than Owl as some of his combos are longer and have generous range, making healing harder as I also play aggressively. For me without using the umbrella to trivialize the fight, I find DoH a bit harder than Owl.

these fat type enemies fell a little out of place, dealing massive damage with one swing,
and if you defelct you get a ton of posture damage.

I mosly defeated them with tactic, evade, wait for an opening and so on.

Its also very annoying to learn them, because you have to deal with so may minions first.
So you really wanny make every attempt count.

very pitiful try. OP clearly stated which version of the boss he is fighting. You named the Drunkyard without specifics. Get back to school and learn laws of logic this time.

He was for me a bit pain in the ass only in Sunken Valley... Both time in Hirata I killed him no problem! I just died second time (before Owl Father...) after I beat him! From... This Spear guy! As camera stuck and I didn't see his moves... So I needed to go trough all enemies and in this building I just sneaked to Idol 😝

I just answer for him

These are the global steam achievements :D although some ppl in the 25 % will have defeated the demon in a fair fight, but the 15 % are pretty accurate, because owl 2 cannot be cheesed
A steam achievement only tells you if someone has beaten a boss, not how. Also, the majority of players won't even know about this fight.

Those % are just pure facts! And yes don't tell how people beat Boss, but... In case of Father Owl there is no way to cheese him, so all % gamers who killed him, done it legit 😝 DoH is another story... And I admit that I cheesed him, however even cheesing took me 1.5h!
