Once you get all the achievements, why not play the game from scratch but gives back the Kuro's Charm this time. You may like the challenge. :)
I'm playing the 2nd loop now. It's crazy all the "oh yeah, that guy!" moments that make more sense knowing what eventually happens.
Never use this mask, that a waste of skill points.
Why, because of the soft cap? TBH I'm sitting on about 12 unused skill points right now, just because I haven't felt a pressing need for the leftover skills or the attack power.
Attack power is cap at 99. But you may have already learnt that as your attack power increase, enemies are stronger. The higher the attack power is, the diminishing return will be greater. From my experience, Sekiro is most powerful when his attack power is in the region 20 -30 in vanilla games. In NG+ games, the enemies are also increased in health and damage by definition, extra works are required to secured a kill. What aaronig meant, or rather, from my experience, don't waste your skill points with the mask until you have upgraded all your skill trees in full. Don't believe some of the Youtube videos showing the effects of having 99 attack power. MOD(s) were involved most likely.
Not before maxing out every skill tree.
Especially the Mushin arts one with the secret techniques. In this one, Get "Spiral Cloud Passage" first for funny boss melting (with Bestowal Ninjutsu buff), and leave "Empowered mortal draw" for last, because slower than a jumping "Mortal Draw".
Doing ng+x cycle over and over to kill (all) bosses is way effective and funnier than farming 5 skill points to get 1 AP.
The game is balanced so that, at each point, in any ng cycle, you'll have when facing a boss a suitable attack power. It will be just as difficult as in the "Reflections of Strength"
Skill points at high level take stupid time to get, so never waste them and never farm them. However, always make sure before difficult encoutners that your ongoing xp bar is filled and "saved" into a point (i.e. don't rely on "Unseen Aid" rng)
