Getting the ability to parry stab attacks from spears should (IMO at least) be your first priority.

I don’t know if you have this automatically from the start

if you invest too much in stealth, when you have to fight a boss you might lack the skills that would help

You don't. It's one of the first abilities, I believe in the samurai tree.

I think this is called mekiri or something like that, I will be going for this as well as soon as possible. I hope there's one for the other type of unblockable attack thing too.

Can't wait though, I haven't even seen what the other two trees entail. ENB showed us all of the first skill tree at least what there was in the demo so far, and some of them sound good. Even the passives sound good like being able to have more spirit emblems. I wonder if they're worth it though like in Bloodborne where you get a rune for more bullets and it gives you one or two or three more max. Miyazaki loves his trolls.

i agree, i think speccing into each tree at least a little would be invaluable, in fact with how fast it looks you can gain, ig "Exp" you might be able to spec into every tree by the end of the game. just a guess tho

I believe the skill to increase spirit emblem is important as other skill you say, because Sekiro is nothing without his prosthetic tools.

that's what i believe tho

I wonder when do you get the nickname sekiro in the game.It could be the case that you have both arms at the beginning. But myazaki said it’s not a story driven game so we probably get just a cutscene and it starts^^think

I love stealth but I will mainly spec into Combat and after seeing enough gameplay, Sekiro shows clearly that without the prosthetic arm it's much much harder. Without spoiling much I mean the fire thing or the guys with shields (if you seen it you know), it's a pain in the a** without using the arm.
So for me it's #1 Combat, #2 Prosthetic and grab a few good Stealth skills.

Maybe if you want the game extra hard it would be an option not to skill that much in the prosthetic skills

I'd get stealth upto the point my stealth is decent, but focus most of my efforts on the prosthetic tools and parry skill tree thingy.

though there are even more skill tree's than just three as their is apparently a monk skill tree, so depending on whats on that things may change

maybe I'll do that on my second run through not the first XD

The skill system isn't that deep. It's not like there's an entire path dedicated to stealth.

The opening skills aren't all that costly. Wouldn't surprise me if you could fill up all trees as you go to relative effect.

The Ashina arts that increase your posture damage seem pretty key. Then some of the passives like counters and Shuriken chaser are probably gonna improve your combat.

It seems like there's two Shinobi skills that affect stealth, one for vision and one for hearing. They're not that costly. It's not like you are picking a speciality in this game I don't think. It's more like prioritizing which you get first.
