Divine Confetti
I think I'm confused, I thought it was necesaary to kill all apparition enemies, but turns out it's not. I wasted a few trying to kill Corrupted Monk, but then I just killed her without it.

So is it only an optional item to increas AP for this kind of enemies? (And defend agains terror when fighting some of them).

Divine Confetti is a Damage buff against apparition enemies, nothing more. Does nothing for Defense.

It allows to avoid terror build up when you deflect headless and some other enemies

No, it is only for offense. Pacifying Agent is what you used to lower the Terror buildup and Mottled Purple Gourd to completely eliminate it.

Um. I saw a lot of comments online that say "deflect with divine confetti prevents terror build up" and that's what happened in my fights. I used pacifying agent, but very sparingly, and it runs out very fast. So the only reason I beat the headless is by deflecting most of his attacks, which allowed me to avoid terror.

Edit: never mind, apparently I'm wrong and terror doesn't build from any deflect, with or without confetti, it's just that without it you take damage even on deflect.

Hi, there. Yds was right. confetti will avoid getting terror damage if deflect perfectly and this only works on the headless and the other three ethereal generals who shoots out terror balls or heads and terror blast. But this doesn't work on the corrupted monk spirit because it doesn't do terror damage. And you are correct, against this monk, the confetti buff up the damage caused by Sekiro. And you are correct where the pacifying agent and the purple gourd will rid of the terror damage whereas the confetti doesn't. Confetti only stop getting the terror damage when parried or deflecting perfectly.
Divine confetti increases damage against ALL enemies. It is extremely helpful against shichimen warrior and headless, as you will only deal 1/10th of your normal damage without it and won't be able to deflect without taking terror.
Divine Confetti does three things:
1. You get a slight damage buff.
2. You bypass the damage resistance of apparition-type enemies.
3. You can negate incoming terror buildup by deflecting it with good timing.

It's also a 25% damage buff against non-apparitions.

You can fight Shichimen Warriors without confetti, confetti just allows you to cheese the ♥♥♥♥ out of them. They're not like Headless. One other thing to mention is that confetti is nowhere near as necessary against the Headless that are in the water.

Also with the confetti applied you can return Genichiro's lightning without taking damage.

You can also hit Shichimen's purple ball attack to make them disappear.

It does more damage against apparitions, but doesn't do anything for defense. (It actually does more damage against every enemy but is way higher for apparitions).

I did not know this. I usually just use Raven Feathers for that, but I'll have to try this out if it's true.

Edit: I should specify. If you use Raven Feathers to counter lightning, don't move so that they send you upwards and let you redirect the lightning. If you counter lightning by moving to the sides, you'll get shocked the moment your feet touch the ground.

I actually didn't either, thanks for the tip.
