lone shadow longswordsman - The damn CAMERA
I'm really loving this game, but I'm trying to fight the lone shadow longswordsman -- the damn camera - I can't see anything. Any solutions?

Sneak around the hole, drop in from above, deathblow him. Then just hope the camera stays more or less OK long enough for you to get one deathblow.

EDIT: I've never tried it myself, but I feel like this is a fight where using keyboard and mouse, while not locking on, might be beneficial.

Cool, will try again. Just gotta stay away from the walls. The ONLY issues I've had with this game are the occasional "death by camera" or "death by wonky auto-target".

Let me know if it goes well.

Yes, those are very common with third-person hack-and-slash games, unfortunately.

You just need to stay away from walls or the camera loses its mind. It's a pretty glaring flaw, but it's manageable once you're used to it.

Not a solution to this camera problem, but Sekiro FPS Unlocker & More has a couple nice options. Main thing I use it for is turning off the camera-centring that occurs when you try to lock onto an enemy and they're not sufficiently on the screen for the game to care.

The camera issue, apparently, is a notorious issue exhibited in all FromSoftware's games. Yeah, you have to learn to "control" your position in the room. A lot of people died when fighting Ishiin, Owl, at top of Ashina Castle because of being right against the opened door panel or balustrade. Oh, and rocks, trees in a seemingly open area. Not to mention falling off the cliff edge when facing the Ogre and the very last boss, Ishiin the Sword Saint.
With this guy, just stay close to him and deflect everything, apart from the perilous attacks. If in doubt, throw a firecracker. Hope this help. Have fun and good luck.
