Achievement "Great Carp" not unlocking

Hi !

So first time I killed the great carp, there was a net outage in my area and so i was on steam offline. I realized that when connecting back online, no luck, didn't unlock. I figured, "what the hell, i'm gonna be doing more NG+, i'll just unlock it next time round."

Bad luck for me, just killed the great carp again, and nothing popped up. If anyone has any idea what could be locking the achievement unlock on steam, I'd really appreciate it!

If your Steam account is offline when playing Sekiro, you won't get the achievement. Your Steam account has to be online. Hope this help.

there is a tool that allows you to add any achievement to your account, you could use that to get what you should have, just don't abuse it.

after feeding the carp with the most precious lure, reset zone, speak with the barrel nobleman that became carp himself,travel to guardian ape boss pond location, loot the item near the corpse, and that`s it.

It was online the second time I fulfilled the requirements.

If all else fails, I'll look into that. Not a big fan of doing so, but if i'm locked out of an achievement, it'd feel unfair...

I'll go get the whiskers and see if that unlocks the achievement.

Once I got the whiskers, the achievement was unlocked. Awesome! Thanks again for the help everyone.
