Remnant messages not showing?

I've purchased Sekiro this sale and to my surprise there appears to be a message system similar to Dark Souls. The only problem is that every single Remnant I've seen in my 4 hours of gameplay contained no message. Not a single one. You'd thing there'd be "I did it!" after a boss or "Try finger" or something at all, but there's nothing! Is this normal? Is it a bug? I'm so confused.

Idk for you since you already play dark souls but for new player in this genre like me I'm surprised that the first real boss you encounter is actually the 4th-7th "boss" you fight (depending on your route), the rest are miniboss. Real boss does have message after you kill them (katakana and english for shinobi execution)

I'm talking about the online messages. "Remnants" they're called in this game.

I also just got the game. I've seen a few messages so far. But probably 90%+ are without them yeah. Some were pretty helpful showing secret locations.

A lot of people just stand there and spam deflects apparently :D

So I guess that's normal huh.. I'm kinda sad more people aren't leaving the messages, I would personally love to experience the game with them, like Dark Souls and such. That's too bad..

Some of them are useful. Some showing secrets. It is usually a good tell if there are multiple remnants in one spot, you know something is up.

Some are useful and some aren't. At all. Most of the time it's just someone standing in the same spot. One I saw was a person tea bagging a dead villager for 30 seconds lol.

You can usually expect:
- 50% of remnants to be people standing around, usually because they accidentally started a recording and don't know what to do
- 25% of remnants to be people meming, spamming blocks or teabags on various points of interest
- 25% helpful recordings that show interesting tricks

Yeah that's basically my experience so far. I wish the written message was mandatory to prevent people from accidentally recording.
