Note that you actually don't get posture broken if you're deflecting perfectly, so you actually won't be posture broken unless you miss a deflection, even while taking more posture damage than normal in the reflections.
Bascially, you can treat the reflections of strength and the gauntlets of strength as without Kuro's charm and equipped with Demon Bell, i.e. you cannot block all the time. And yes, you have to parry/deflect with perfect timing.
