Do I really need to use mods just to get ps4 prompts?

This is honestly bizarre. Is that the only way to get ps4 prompts? Ps4 controller works fine, I just have to deal with the xbox prompts.

And yes all my steam settings are correct, I usually have proper ps4 prompts in the games I play on steam. But for whatever reason sekiro isn't one of them. I tried a mod, but it just messed up the prompts even more.

Just learn how to play with xbox prompts. It's literally 4 buttons.

Not really. Shoulder buttons are called different too. Not just that, I have to translate LT in my head to left trigger and being not a native english speaker, I also translate that to my language. It's not impossible and if I have to I can obviously do it, but it's annoying and it shouldn't even be there to begin with.

FromSoftware were always weirdos about their control prompts. Ever since Dark Souls 1 the prompts were exclusively the controller ones, even if you play on Keyboard and Mouse.
You get used to it with time, but still...

If anything Sekiro is breaking the ground here, with finally having dedicated KMB prompts.
So it doesn't surprise that they only favor one controller.

Your English is good enough. I don't see why you are using that as an excuse. There are tonnes of games without DS4 prompts. You'll only do yourself a favour if you simply learn the buttons.

I didn't say my english was bad, but there's still a natural process that goes on in someones head that doesn't natively speak a language. And there are and you can get used to it in time, but you see buttons when you interact with something, it messes with your brain training. Not saying it's impossible, it's not, but it's simply annoying and can deff throw you off more.

It's not the end of the world, but I also don't care for artificial difficulty, as slight as it is.

English is not my first language, I speak several other languages that I am not a native speaker of and I don't have any processes running in my head. I just think in the language. Maybe you should change your approach. Anyway, that is not the topic of this discussion. FromSoft is unlikely to add DS4 prompts so you are forced to use mods.
