Only joysticks working

I played this game long ago and my ps4 controller worked totally fine.

Last week i tried again to play and my controller wont work. I tried reinstalling and nothing seems to change. I can only use joysticks, other buttons remain blocked.
I tried DS4 too besides Big Picture and got the same issue. Same goes with xbox series x/s controller.

same is happening to me with my xbox one controller worked brfore then i come back to play and it no longer works tried eveything in big pic mode and nothing did you ever find a fix?

yep, no controller works. seems like if anything should work, it should be the controller.....its a video game. Activision to blame on this one or what?

I fixed it but i did nothing specific, i just updated my windows and suddenly it worked
Still dont know what causes this issue.
Try updating windows and good luck

Huh, came to the forum to post about the same issue, it's interesting to see others experiencing this as well. I really wanted to get back into Sekiro to sate my souls cravings before Elden Ring but no matter what I do I can't get my PS4 controller to work on this game specifically and I really don't feel like relearning the game on mouse and keyboard

I went ahead and forced through optional quality updates on Windows and as well as changing the controller config to Fromsoft's recommended and it works now!

I went ahead and forced through optional quality updates on Windows and as well as changing the controller config to Fromsoft's recommended and it works now!

What controller do you use and do you have the steam input enabled? I did the optional update and used the config, but still the same.
