anything i need to know for no kuros charm run?
completed the game thrice (once ng, almost once ng+ (gave up on sword saint) and i almost completed shura but gave up cus gentle blade is annoying) and now im really feeling the burn. anything i really need to know and some things i really need to change to actually complete the game?

also how do i block genichiro ravaging me with slash slash slash? im able to deflect like 5/6 hits but its like impossible for me to time all the deflects. does buttonmashing work or should i like actually try to time the attacks?

also does way of tomoe confirm that tomoe fought her opponents topless?

A Charmless run will really test your deflecting (and dodging) skills in this game. If you wanna survive the playthrough, you'll have to deflect, dodge and counter every attack perfectly or else you'll receive chip damage through your block.

Without the Charm, enemies do more Vitality Damage, Posture Damage, have more Vitality themselves and have higher Posture meters.

As for Genichiro's Floating Passage attack, the 5th or 6th hit has a different deflect timing window compared to his previous hits so button-mashing doesn't work. Most players either just wait it out or deflect the first 4 hits and dash away.

I'm not sure about the last question but if I had to guess, I don't think so. It would be funny though. :lolo:

aight genichiro way of exhibitionism completed
First you can run and cheese every single boss in the game
Second if you beat ng you can beat charmless+bell run, the game doesn't get harder, the combat is simply too shallow

about genichiro you can use umbrella to deflect all of his spiral cloud passage

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7Chz-imnlM

see this guy deflect all of them with umbrella ofc unless you're attempting no tools as well then good luck

across all of my 100 hours ish gameplay i manage to successfully deflect genichiro's full spiral cloud passage just "once" the rest is either dodge after 4th attack or umbrella

You can just take the first two hits of genichiros long combo and then jump back. There is a great time before he goes on with the rest of the combo.

You can still take the last big slice from that combo tho by approaching him again. The tomoe form will give you a thrust for that which you can use for mikiri and big posture damage.

You can see it in my vid at 0:14.
I gave up to parry the combo perfect.
Not worth the trouble.

Maybe the vid in general is helpfull. You see were you can hit him safe like how to exploit isshins ashina cross attack or his spear roundhouse slash.

Isshin is just pure parry focus. The window for parry is quite big although it doesnt seem like it on your first charmless run.

Its just pure training and endurance.

I don't remember the whole game but I am pretty sure isshin you can to bait the lunge attack but I think I still remember all the cheesing strats, which are usually just running around.

Btw I beat the whole game during my blind run without using tools, with bell and without cheesing anything but the drunkard,
Then when I went in ng+ with bell+charmless I didnt see the game become harder

edit: I even forgot you got all those op buff if you kill the headless
