Benefits to Online Mode?

I wasn't fond of the Remnants added in the patch, and tried setting launch to Offline Mode. I got an achievement already in Offline Mode, and the Gauntlets all seem to work, so, is there any reason to use Online Mode besides Remnants?

Nope, it seems to only exist for the remnants. If you don't want them, set it to perma-offline mode.

Thank you for confirming that achievements work in game's offline mode; too many pink remnants were driving me crazy.

I've read that you don't get them if offline, but that was before the update, so I believe they were referring to Steam being offline perhaps, so maybe don't play without connecting via Steam.

But yes, in the in-game options I set it to launch offline, backed up my save, restarted the game to be sure it was offline, and successfully got the achievement for upgrading all prosthetics.
