After seeing your post I checked if DS4 windows had any updates since the dev said they would continue support and a week ago they also released a version that supports it but you can only change the touchbar color and get vibrations through wired connection so far, still promising and you can use the touchpad too.
Didn't know about the beta version, I will check it out, but you have to set it up as a generic controller in regular release steam and you don't get any touchpad/vibration/lights support.
All features are working fine, the only issue I have so far which might be a windows problem and not steams fault, whenever i turn the controller off by holding the PS button and then turn Bluetooth OFF & ON and turn the controller back on it'll ruin windows as use my mouse on any windows, search bar or click on anything.
Yeah steam's is loads better im having a much better experience now, actually using the features I wanted from it now so i'm happy! Thanks a lot for the beta tip.
