Fountainhead palace is awful
I'm replaying this area and again, i just think its so awful.
The beauty of this place aside the enemies and the placement and level design.
Everything here is so annoying.

The Okami ppl could be fun to fight but you ge so rare a good chance to fight some of then
and the way back to a next good fight is so annoying too that i'm just happy when its finished again. XD

To each their own, I love that place
It does kinda feel boring for the most part. Aside from the Mibu palace bit where you have to stealth past the nobles and swimming with the great carp. I also like the underwater exploration, and it is the prettiest area in the game.

Everything between the Mibu palace and killing the lightning warrior is kind of a mess though. Thankfully you can do it quickly, but I always find myself tuning out of let’s plays when they get there.

Dont get me wrong the art style makes this palace and the mibu village to awesome places.
But they are not funny to stay and fight in XD

I actually do like Mibu Village with its cheesy zombie flick vibe.

I just love both places for the atmosphere.

Palace is so peacefull and positive.
Mibu is so dark and gloomy. Reminds me a bit of the fising hamlet in BB.

But actally fighting there :) mo thx
there are much better places / enemies that make more fun.

That spot with the 2 nobles and that Okami is pure nightmare
It's a really good place though

It's a hauntingly beautiful place. And I feel bad about killing squidwards. They just go around, playing their flutes or training for soccer(with that ball). And the giant Koi fish!

I actually feel bad about fighting there ; would 100% stealth if I could. Hell, I wish I could skip it entirely. Feels like murdering innocents.

(ok, that Shichimen though, he can SUCK it!)

While I find the area quite beautiful I agree it was mostly a pain to get through. Especially that area near one of the idols where there are about 4 - 5 enemies all clustered together watching one of the purple guys dance on stage. Yeah, that took me probably 30 min to find a way to lure them away and fight them 1 by 1.

Although did anyone find it odd that the swordsmen there really weren't that difficult to deal with? Like the bowmen were pushovers once you got close and so were the kickball guys but the swordsmen I feel were easier than the purple cloaked enemies I just got done dealing with at Hirata Estate and even easier than some of the red armored soldier enemies at Ashina Castle.

You wont feel bad about killing the squids after they got you 3 times in a row after you allready mostly cleard the area but before you reach the next idol 🤗

In NG4 this enfeeble s**t is so fast 😆

For the shichimen get the purple umbrella and the reflect/deflect whatever skill for the umbrella. You can hide under the umbrella and give him special strikes with the umbrella without any confetti.

You can fight him with confetti and pacifying agent but i felt the area there make the fight much harder because he gets in a corner so often.

And maybe get the purple gourd.

That finger whistle that stuns apparation enemies is also really helpful for them.

I didnt know that the malcontent whistle works on them. Gotta try that even tho i finished the area already :steamhappy:

It does but will only stun them up to 3x. Also, never use it when they are disappearing since apparently they stay permanently invisible if you do that.

Yeah, my bad. I should have been clearer on that. Squid people aren't bad anyway...so long as you can isolate them.

Way to misunderstand.

1. Who says I will progress difficulties? I could simply start over.
2. It was based more on emotions and ambience. Not really on danger.
3. I do realize that they are somewhat like dementors from Harry Potter ; using an emotion to take you out then to...feed?

derp. :winter2019happyyul:
