Is it "cheap" to use the Mortal Blade or other skills?

Hi,

I have grinded a lot and unlocked some powerful skills like Shadow Rush and also the Mortal Blade. Currently I am doing the Shura Ending, will go for the other endings later on.

So I am not really a pro gamer or something but I think that the Mortal Blade takes absurd amounts of health from Emma and Isshin. Remembering Midir from DS3 (400 tries) where you do little damage per hit, this seems a tad too easy for me?!

So is it considered "cheap" or "cheese" to use the Mortal Blade and powerful skills on bosses?

I have just experiened Isshin's late second phase (phase 3 of the whole fight incl. Emma). With his crazy fire and sword attacks I am now convinced to take whatever skill it needs to kill him!

also FYI isshin on shura ending his multiple sword attack (One Mind) can be easily cancel with firecracker or if you want to be stylish use umbrella.

Fire axe >>> firecracker
About the same posture damage, more vit damage, interrupts him all the same.

Mortal Blade is OP against some enemies, but not multi-deathblow bosses. I killed Seven Ashina Spears with Mortal Blade spam, easy as Mist Noble. That being said, it's fine to use imo. It's going to drain your Spirit Emblems quickly, using what is available to you isn't cheese.
