Great Shinobi Owl in patch 1.03

First off I know that you all have a huge ♥♥♥♥ that you can beat him blindfolded using a steering wheel, but for us mere mortals that plan on killing him without cheating, is it even possible in this patch? or do I have to rollback for when he has way slower and not as agressive?

I dont know when did they patched what on him? He was slower? I made the boss rush a week ago and he was more like easier not harder than in the beginning of the game.

I played it pretty early after release.

What Problem you have with him?

The boss mod only allows you to access the bosses whenever you like. It dont change them.

Only thing i wanted to tell you is i noticed no difference and i keep my games always auto updated.

The boss rush mod changes a lot of the different bosses values, you are probably facing an outdated version of the bosses even if your game is updated.

The mod is too small for that i guess. Also i finished the game 3 times over some time without mod, they are the same also with the mod i would say.

Also sekiro wiki says nothing about change owl. Only boss that got changed (nerved a bit) was the bull.

Just fight owl.

Just don’t miss more than 1 deflection at a time & he will be an easy kill (O’rin will never be easy).
Also don’t counter attack after each deflect because you won’t have enough time when he jumps off to shoot his shurikens.
Also, forget about the firecrackers - use shurikens to interrupt his posture reloads & close distance with the shurikens + R2. When he does the 2 shuriken + jump attack - always dodge to his side & punish with a double Ichimonji & this animal will go down in no time.

You can wreck owl with the spear tho

Orin is the hardest miniboss. Try her with block damage if you wanna know true pain.

You probably do it the same way you did it before... provided that's the right way. Go ham on him till he deflects then punish his response.

I think you guys are misunderstanding this topic. They buffed Owl 1 a while back. They made him run faster and I think they increased the size of the hit box on his sword. It`s much harder to use the hit and run cheese against him. It is still possible though. In fact the only thing that changed is you have to jump when he uses his running sword slash. Everything else is the same though.

Edit: Yo Lavender! Are you referring to the Sekiro Guru/Tyrannicon cheese videos?
It sounds like you are. The strat still works you just have to jump to evade.

Sure you cannot always trust wiki, but i really never heard of patching owl.

If you`ve seen the tyrannycon cheese video then you know that strategy no longer works like in the video. You used to be able to run circles around Owl and he could never catch you. You could just use hit and run until he died. He was too slow and could never land a hit. After the patch they made him run faster. Now you have to jump in order to dodge his attacks.

Edit: I`m really bad at explaining things in detail so bear with me. Maybe someone else here can explain what I`m talking about?

I've beaten him recently and the same old tactic worked just fine.
