I stuck at Genichiro Ashina - Way of Tomoe, and Lady Butterfly
With lady butterfly I sometime managed to remove one and a half of her health bar but still a pain in the a.s. As for Genichiro, I'm completely helpless. I don't really understand when to deflect, and when to attack. To be honest my biggest problem with this game is against enemies with swords. I defeated the Blazing Bull on my first try, he was the easiest boss for me so far. All I did was lock on to him, sprint all the time, avoid hes attacks, after that just sprint behind him and slash him a few times, and than repeat. I have a much easier time against enemies who you can dodge. I actually gave up on the game at this point, I don't even enjoy it that much, and it's just an endless frustration. I don't understand the deflect system in this game. I beat the sword mini bosses with dodging and jumping away most of the time. The only time deflecting worked for my was with the Main boss on the horse. (I never played any From Software game before)

genichino fight is easy he always starts with an arrow you can easily deflect that then he follows up with a slash parry that and then attack him twice then go into defense and parry and repeat the 2 attack and parry pattern until he jumps up and slashes downward he always follows that up with an unblockable thrust attack in his first health bar that can easily be mikiri countered and dont stop attacking you need to be very aggressive in this fight while his posture meter drops very quickly his posture bar also fills up quite fast then in his second phase the jump attack unblockable gets replaced with a sweep attack that he almost 90% does but thats not important then the third phase is the easiest he almost always starts with a jumping thrust that can be mikiri countered and his posture meter fills up very quickly just watch out for his lightning jump attacks

Genichiro is the hardest boss I ever encountered in my life, and I'm playing video games since the 90's. It would be beatable for me if he wouldn't us that f.cking bow even in close combat. Sometime I attack him, he backs up and hits me with his bow. I have to be careful when to attack, when to parry, when to block, I have to watch out for hes bow, hes high jumps, and hes combos, and do all these for 3 f.ckin phases which takes forever, and if you make one small mistake guess what mister, go back to the beginning and suffer through the whole thing again. I have no idea how can anyone call this a fun game, even die hard Dark Souls fans call this hard as hell. I quit.

Luckily for you, in the ashina castle you can farm divine confettis. It's an item designed to fight nightmarish monsters but you can actually use them in any fight and especially against Lady butterfly those are helpful.

Dodge only when in desperately need, otherwise either attack or deflect. Dodging is only good against slow charged blows or missile-type weapons (such as butterfly's butterflies)

I defeated Lady Butterfly, but I can't beat Genichiro. I gave up on the game at this point.

Because they don't understand it. Especially people who liked dark souls 1 and 2, it's a very different game with different mechanics. It is indeed similar to soulsborne games in many ways, but the most similar one is bloodborne rather than dark souls.

I kinda did, but I just don't have the motivation and energy to play it anymore. It really just frustrates me. Even if I beat this boss there will be another one that kicks my a.s for hours to come.

The thing that helped me was to look at some youtube videos from people who did this fight without any damage. You can learn a lot from those and even if you do take damage you can still do it anyway.

Particularly phase 3, it seems hard because you get there mentally exausted and you don't have time to learn the moves, but if you are able to mikiri counter the first hit (it's always a thrust attack) and jump+ block every time he uses lightnings you can finish him easily.

It is a nightmare at first but then once you learn how to do the lightining reverse you can do it!

do you think he didn't already look at Youtube videos or already read online guides, do you think he is so stupid he couldn't figure out to look at Youtube videos? Don't be so patronising man.

Nah Genichiro is definitely harder than most bosses you will encounter next. There are some nightmarish minibosses but you can skip them if you don't want to fight them.

At 80% of the game there is another very hard boss with three phases, and then the only other hard boss is the final one, which is way harder than genichiro but hey it's the last boss!

Also important to note, after beating Genichiro you have to make a choice and if you choose the wrong one you have to fight three bosses in a row so be careful if you want to keep your sanity.

I work with computers everyday. You cannot even imagine how many people ask me the dumbest stuff. A coworker asked me why her laptop had low volume, I told her to click on the speaker icon and turn the volume up and she wanted me to do it.

Before that, she asked me why her computer wanted a password, I told her to put the password in and she asked me what is the password of her personal computer she bought two years ago

The first question every IT department asks to those who call is "have you tried turning it off and on again?" for a reason
