phantom kunai or lazulite shuriken?

i got the subamiru and now i have to choose between lazulite shuriken, lazulite axe, or lazulite flame vent, i don't like the flame vents so which is better, the axe or the shuriken, i have phantom kunai and they seem pretty good

phantom kunai isn't that good tbh

depends on what you're wanna focus and each tool are good for different thing

but if i had to start fresh NG my priority tools to maxed out first is umbrella especially purple and fire one it's one of the most underused but extremely good tools in the game

Neither are that good.

Lazulite Shuriken is a direct damage upgrade to Goughing Top and nothing else. Phantom Kunai costs double Emblems so you will run out faster in prolonged boss fight.

It really comes to preference. I would prefer the Axe for dispelling illusion and Flame Vent for coating my blade in holy flame. They are just fancy upgrades that are not necessarily practical.

yeah, i plan on going to ng+ as i'm almost done with my first play through, and i know i'll probably speed through ng+ and be able to get the rest of the lazulite prosthetics but yeah, i wanna know what's gonna carry me through ng+

i beat it like, second try, only difficult boss for me so far was genichiro, everything else i pretty much beat on the second to fourth try

chained ogre isnt hard, just takes so damn long. sparking axe takes a huge amount of his healthbar so it made it shorter yay

I'd probably say Phantom Shuriken considering it's better at killing and picking off annoying grunts, and that I almost never use prosthetics during boss fights. The only prosthetic I even remember using is the purple umbrella during three boss fights (phase 2 ape, dual ape fight, and true corrupted monk), and it was usually for one phase and even then it wasn't necessary to win, it was just a quality of life ability. The only good prosthetic that is consistent with every enemy and boss (ignoring phase 2 ape) is long spark fireworks which allow you to get an extra hit or two in and are amazing.

Lazulite also pierces enemies where Gouging does not. It almost never comes up, but occasionally you can get a double kill on dogs with one shot.
