Actually, yes. I was fighting the Great Shinobi and took a sip of tea just as i broke his posture, but the ♥♥♥♥ spilled on the keyboard so I had to wipe it off.
While i was doing that, the boss just slightly resurrected himself.
your fault for drinking that gaye shet. your only sustenance should be the blood of your enemies.
But you have to hit the boss dozens of times, or get some really good parries to get to the finisher. Honestly, the game is so gorgeous that having the finishing moves as a side option would be disgraceful.
You do realise the point is not to reduce the boss's hp to zero, but rather to break their posture and perform the deathblow, right? Why is it a bad design if the game gives you an animation once you break the posture?
im saying it would be nice to have both options. right now the game is soo heavy about breaking there posture that u dont need to hit much if your good at perfect parrys to get to the qte finishers.
By having two mechanics on top of each other would create 2 different playstyles on offer. The heavy parry, counter gameplay that the game currently is focus on, and a heavy dodge hit and run style to focus on hp over posture.
Doing perfect parrys really isnt that hard, and for me anyway, just gets boring after awhile. There is one style in this game for combat right now, you can do it the uber slow safe way or the heavy aggressive parry way and thats your game right there.
Just by adding a small other ways to take bosses down other than just getting to a kill move would be nice.
Technically, the entire game is one giant QTE lol.
So let me get this straight. You want to spend MORE time whaling on bosses, rather than playing the game the way the devs meant for it to be played? Just go play Monster Hunter if you enjoy hitting things for a long time. This is clearly not the game for you. And pressing a button is not QTE. There is no timing involved. Bosses get posture broken, they get a Deathblow. Or are you saying that parrying is a QTE?
LITERALLY QTE THE GAME.
