Keagian just told you. You can't use a resurrection unless you deathblow an opponent, even if you have additioanl charges left.
Say, a boss kills you while this boss has 2 deathblows left. After you resurrect and deal 1 deathblow, you can resurrect again. If a boss has 1 deathblow left, you can't use resurrection anymore for this fight
he answered your question exactly, after first resurrection you need to deal a deathblow to trigger the second one. Otherwise it can't be used.
So in a boss fight, you can only resurrect once per their health bar.
There's no permanent consequences to dying.
