Can only resurrect once
For a while now my second resurrection hasn't been triggering. I've been trying to figure out if it's a bug or by design (am I cursed or something?) and was wondering if anyone else is having the same issue.

To resurrect again after burning one, you need to death blow an enemy.

I know, I've got two full resurrections but only one triggers. I've noticed that the second one gets partially covered by the black bar that that indicates you have none left, however I can see that it's still full, I just can't use it for some reason.

Keagian just told you. You can't use a resurrection unless you deathblow an opponent, even if you have additioanl charges left.

Say, a boss kills you while this boss has 2 deathblows left. After you resurrect and deal 1 deathblow, you can resurrect again. If a boss has 1 deathblow left, you can't use resurrection anymore for this fight

he answered your question exactly, after first resurrection you need to deal a deathblow to trigger the second one. Otherwise it can't be used.

So in a boss fight, you can only resurrect once per their health bar.

Ah, I misunderstood Keagian's response. Thanks all, that makes sense now.

Thank you. Really some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that the game doesn't make this clear but death has permanent consequences. Still not as annoying as Elden Ring yet, so I'm enjoying it, but I really dislike this from software style of surprises.

There's no permanent consequences to dying.
