What kuro charm does?

So i just finish the game on bad ending and start new game +

I have new item in inventory - Kuro charm at the start.

I have a choise give it to Kuro or keep it mine. What does it do?

Read the item text. It makes the game harder when you give it to kuro.

From what I can gather so far, all it does is make enemies damage you through your normal guard (not perfect block) if you give it to him. If it does anything else I haven't noticed yet and am back at the castle on my second run.

Edit: Forgot to add that the Sculptor can give it back to you if you find you're in over your head.

I accidentaly klicked to give the charm back to me at the sculptor and it said that it cannot be undone if I proceed.
So you might be screwed until next playthrough.

I'm playing with both the demon bell and kuros charm active, and from what I can tell atleast, only the demon bell give an increase in droprate.
