Stuck? [SPOILERS]

So I am currently at the Sunken Valley Cavern sculptor idol and just killed the giant white snake. Thing is, after killing the snake I accidentally fell into the water. I used the Homeward Idol to get back to the sculptor's idol, HOWEVER, I don't see any other way to go down again since the snake isn't there anymore. I even tried going back to the broken bridge but no success. Am I missing something?

Also if I just jump to the place where the serpent was, I take some fall damage and the game puts me back on top of the beam.

same problem for me, i fell into the water and i cant get back just broken bridge after kill snake

I got the same issue.
Edit: if the loot isn't important then it should be fine.

guys, wtf. explore the waters. snake dropped you there for a purpose. If you don't explore every corner of each map, you will miss out on hidden doors, fish scales, new places, etc

Have exactly the same issue. Tried making the jump to get in range of the tree branch but no luck.

It drops you in the waters in the previous encounter. After this one, you get to the other side of the bridge (which you previously couldn't), but apparently there is no way back there if you fall into the waters again by accident.

So, turns out you dont really need to go there to make progress in the game, but I'd really like to see what's in there...

guys legit just swim around in the water and you can find the way out through a cave, if you do want the ♥♥♥♥ on the other side go back to senpou temple once you have the puppet ninjutsu, if you don't have it you WILL get it by following the story, use said ninjutsu on the midget guarding the reel for the kite and he reel it out and hold it, in such a way that if you head through the first building and climb the giant tree you can swing across and loot some stuff, eventually leading to that area if I remember correctly

Jesus dude did you even read OPs question? If he's killed the snake then he's obviously already taken the path you just described.

Why the ♥♥♥♥ would you answer a question if you can't be bothered to read the question itself? You didn't even have to read the whole thing! Reading one bloody sentence would have been enough to know that the information you just wrote out is useless to him and everyone else in this thread.

As for OP, sorry I don't know the solution either. Same thing happened to me. Closest I could get was the tree branch adjacent to the broken hanging bridge, no way to grapple further as far as I can tell. Luckily the items aren't vital, no gourd seeds or prayer beads or prosthetic tools.
