How to use the mortal blade?

Hey guys,
I received the mortal blade and the woman said, I can kill undead people with it. So I went in the area, where undead people are but how do I use this sword?
I can't change it in the menu and I pressed every button and I still can't kill the undead.

Its a Combat Skill, you need to equip it first. Its a very powerful attack that can be swung twice but costs charms to use.

So I can't equip the mortal blade as my main weapon? And to kill undead people I always have to use the attack?

You can't equip it as a main weapon, it's just a combat skill. You can kill undeads without it, its only needed to kill off Immortals which your character will do if their is a prompt for it.
