The engine is built for 60, so even if there is do so at your peril.

I would love that as well.

Here you go. It requires some tinkering, but it runs at 144 Hz for me now. It's glorious.

@Chriz, did u have any issues so far ? Im a littel bit concerned about the "engine tied to FPS" comment.

well Im trying it now, its buttery smooth with +100fps I'll report if I have any gameengine fails like for example: parrying is off or what soe ver

Ah, too bad it requires windowed mode (that disables HDR) :(

waiting for your feedback man.
hopefully it doesn't break the game with bad parry timing and things running twice the original speed.

Okay, I alrighty found an issue: I chose the 144 FPS cap, because of my 144Hz screen - it worked perfectly fine, I even ran from one edge to another and counted seconds in my head ( to see if the game runs any faster compared to 60 hz ) and it was fine ( of course I couldnt recognize milliseconds by counting in my head - but it seemed alright to me )

Fighting and parrying was smooth and fine - huge difference to 60fps

BUT: as soon as u hit the FPS-cap, in my case 144 fps, your character did move slowly. Like he was walking on ice / gliding on the ground - it occured rather randomly, not consistent but from time to time and only! when u hit your fps cap. I dont know if this game has a lot of tiny areas or not - it could be only in this area tho. I dont know
U could stop him from gliding by make him stop and walk again - easy fix but nevertheless REALLY annoying. I only noticed that because I got from an open-wide area ( ~100fps ) to an smaller area inside a building where I hit 144fps.

I have tried the same thing, in the same area with 60fps cap and he didnt glide at all - so Im pretty sure it only occurs when u hit the fps cap, because it didnt at 120 or alike

I think you could work around that with a higher fps cap like 160 or force DSR within Nvidia Settings to lower your fps.. ugh

Try locking the framerate with rtss to see if it helps by locking the framerate to 143 for example.

I keep playing with 144 FPS for now, it didnt bother me in fights (yet) and you're not running throught those levels anyway. You're climbing, hiding and dodging - Im taking my time :-) no need to rush through

but yeah, if its getting too annoying, I'll turn it off again

Try the tip I wrote above just to see if it helps. Losing 1 of 144 frames won't hurt :)

I forgot to refresh before I posted my second text :D - I just read it

I will try it - man, how couldnt I think of such an easy way to limit my fames

thanks !

It is still happening, so it's not the fps cap like I thought. Maybe its just this tiny room, because it worked fine before - I'll just keep playing tomorrow and report if it gets worse - its 2am here I need to sleep now :D
