Any advice for purple ninjas?

I found a hidden area in the hirada estate (or however its spelled) and got attacked by a purple ninja. this dude is nuts

Apparently all you really need to do is be aggressive and his posture will eventually fail. When he does his jump and slams down, most of the time he does a sweep attack which you can easily punish. About his trust kick, there's a skill you can learn to counter that for a lot of posture damage as well.

It took me a good while to beat him too, but eventually I got it.

if i remember correct its the guy you wall jump your way up to.


i lost when i tried to play safe against him, but when i rushed in, stayed close to him and dodge-blocked all attacks, hes posture was not that hard to break.

He does have a lot of posture though, but he can't regenerate it if you stay on him and keep hitting him.

He IS nuts lol. I try to fight him and he just kicks me in my left eyebrow 30 times.

Before the burning buildings, there's a bridge guarded by various enemies, including one big green moster with a metal club. Just in front of the bridge, jump right into the water and grapple yourself onto the tree branch. You'll find the path from there.

Just trigger him and then jump back in to the water. Then just go back up and stealth kill him.

also i was walking around and randomly got a notification about getting a piece of iron? what was that about?

I think that's from him. Just killed him and got the pop up.

So I am trying to cheese him and every time I go back up he's standing at the edge looking where I jumped, he turns around and agros me instantly. Did you wait a long time before going back up or what?
