Emma the doc refuses to take gourd seeds

After defeating Genichiro Ashina she moves to a new place- Kuro's room. The problem is that she totally refuses to take seeds. There's no dialogue option with her now. Any ideas how to fix it?

Well moreover I figured this out right afer ringing into the Demon Bell. Is there any chance that affected?

You have to speak with "the old guy" not far , to progress the story , and she'll upgrade again.

Mind elaborating where 'the old guy' is (in spoiler tags [.spoiler])? Because I've been progressing for ten hours after she stops accepting them and I've yet to come across 'old guy'.

Edan means the guy you find, Isshin or something, by following the smoke pillars outside the castle.

I am having the same problem.I found the "Old Guy" and have spoken to him. I ended up doing his little request before speaking with Emma. Now when I talk to emma, all she says is "I see you have spoken to him, but your brow is less furrowed than before"... this ends the dialouge, and I don't have the option to give any Gourd Seeds. I was wondering if anyone else has this issue, and if it's a glitch

WHen I speak to the old guy, he just talks about the "Ashina ways", sorry for the multiple replies. I just find this really frustrating lol

Nah, thanks to you guys I figured out that you just need to talk to him, then Emma will move downstairs near Kuro.

Figured it out lol. never interacted with the incense in lord kuros room. Once I did that everything sorted itself out. oversight on my part cuz i was so excited to get my gourd seeds up to 7 lol
