that im afraid I don't know. I have come across 2 vendors selling them and found 1 or 2 in the world. I did the same as you and just used 1 thinking it would get rid of the dragon rot then I realised what I needed to do.

You need to get some blood from an NPC out in the world (I got mine from an old lady on a bridge) when you give that to Emma she gives you a charm which allows you to cure it at the statues
